Burning the midnight oil

Not that much time left now. Found a massive bug that causes cpu crash on random machines. Got to be careful with all the graphics cards from different vendors - who is going to throw white triangles on screen first, nVidia or ATI?

Running the demo again and again trying to fit visuals with music, one of the hardest tasks (but thanks to Leviathan and aMusic this can be done in a couple of nights).

Oh and writing this post while waiting to get to the final scene of the demo; no FF on this engine I'm afraid :-(

  2. Ah yeah, thanks. Makes sense - think I misread the last part before, as "waiting to get the last part".

  3. Fast forward, yes. Each time, I have to do a full reload and replay...

  4. Navis, that's horrible. First demo I did was like that... then the first thing I did for the next demo was implementing a way of jumping to the next scene!

  5. I have a system like that too, but I don't trust it all that much. Also, this way I get to see the whole demo again and again and spot lots of little errors.

  6. Yeah, I quite like to sit through the whole demo repeatedly too... eventually those tiny things you don't like get so annoying you have to fix them, so it helps add polish.

Then again, when you're repeatedly editing some small thing over and over, it can waste way too much time, and you totally need that 'playFrom:' feature to skip to the right part. Once again, a bit of balance wins out.
