I especially love the "varying" mechanism. No more having to shove everything into tex-coord slots and keeping track of what goes where.Nuclearhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02949601373169997845noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4823571766443783974.post-35945140953807801472010-03-01T05:56:52.859-08:002010-03-01T05:56:52.859-08:00I have really hard time accepting wings3d UI. If I knew Erlang, I would fix it, but it is just too weird language to get into. Silo3d does it for me (not too expensive either), although their support/update seems a lazy.Mikko Mononenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11900996590678707801noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4823571766443783974.post-74511146091807299302010-02-22T03:20:16.174-08:002010-02-22T03:20:16.174-08:00Damn you 3DStudio, you killed one of my favourite ...Damn you 3DStudio, you killed one of my favourite groups.

Maybe you can try Wings3D Memonnavishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03652311820837467134noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4823571766443783974.post-51465554237789543892010-02-21T08:16:41.620-08:002010-02-21T08:16:41.620-08:00I whole heartedly agree on that 3d modeling part. ...I whole heartedly agree on that 3d modeling part. 3DS max/Maya pretty much killed moppi :( So much of our ideas were tied to some animation to be exported from a modeling package. There are so many demos which never saw the light of day simply because I ran out of motivation on writing exporters.

Even for some recent work stuff (such as Zen Bound on iphone), I like to do simple modeling in Silo 3d and then do procedural stuff on top of that.Mikko Mononenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11900996590678707801noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4823571766443783974.post-84455488455864206752010-02-18T06:18:05.661-08:002010-02-18T06:18:05.661-08:00+1 on Cg->GLSL. Too bad though, I kinda prefer Cg/HLSL :)

hornet/loopitAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
